Sherry is my best educated guess based on some of their other products’ secondary maturations. 1888 and Maestro Reserva do their second rounds in ex-Sherry. Must be an existing relationship or set of relationships (economical that way). Very limited public info on the product, but I feel fairly certain it’s Sherry.
Do you think the "20% Spanish wine" is sherry or table wine. By your description it sounds like Sherry, specifically oxidized sherry.

Thanks, I'll try it.
